PLANT CITY - A warehouse worker who said he was interested in young girls sent an undercover detective child porn over the Internet and asked whether he could listen as the officer had sex with his 11-year-old "daughter," according to a probable-cause affidavit.
Charles Gillstrap
On July 28, St. Lucie County sheriff's Detective Neil Spector was contacted in an AOL chat room called "open minded parents" by someone identified as "CJgillstrap," Spector wrote in the affidavit.
During the chat, three photos of young females engaged in sex acts with men were sent to the detective. Authorities believe at least two of the images depicted girls younger than 12. The suspect told the detective he lived near Tampa and had no children.
After talking to the suspect on the phone, the detective checked the phone number that the AOL chatter provided and found it registered to Charles Gillstrap, 39, of 4029 Canary Palm Drive. Arrest warrants were issued Aug. 27, and Gillstrap was arrested Wednesday at his home. He was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.
Gillstrap posted $100,000 bail Thursday and was released from the Orient Road Jail.
A phone message for comment was not immediately returned.
