The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of 10,000 Back to Basics iced tea makers for potential fire hazards.
The Back to Basic Products LLC IT400 Iced Tea Maker has not been tied to any injuries. Consumers, however, should stop using the products costing between $40 and $50.
The tea maker is mostly white and has a 2.5-quart glass pitcher. Items have a date code of CA1307 or CA1307-A. The model number is embossed on the bottom of the unit, and the date code is printed on a small white sticker, also on the bottom of the unit.
They were sold at Bon-Ton department stores, hardware stores nationwide, the JCPenney catalog and Internet retailers from April to July. The tea maker was made in China.
