THE DIFFERENCE: The Jesuit defense ended three Barons drives with interceptions. The first pick was made by William Horan, who returned it 26 yards for a 19-0 Jesuit lead. The second was by Adam Perhosky, which derailed a St. Pete Catholic drive before halftime. The third was by Michael Miller and ended all hope of a Barons comeback.

GAME NOTES: This was the first contest on Jesuit's new artificial turf. ... Tigers HB Chris Kavouklis rushed 12 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns. … Jesuit QB Mitch Pfeiffer threw for 90 yards and a score and also ran in a touchdown late in the contest … Ryan Mitchell was Pfeiffer's favorite receiver, catching five of Pfeiffer's six completions for 75 yards and a spectacular touchdown catch in the first quarter. … St. Pete Catholic dominated the time of possession battle, running more than 60 plays to Jesuit's 36.
