TAMPA - Tampa's most famous Cuban eatery, The Columbia Restaurant, is rolling back its prices today, 1905 style, for its 102nd anniversary.
Until 7 p.m. today, you can buy chicken and yellow rice for $2.95. Boliche – eye round of beef – is going for the same price. Sangria is selling for 95 cents, flan for 35 cents and coffee for a nickel.
The special is available at three of the restaurant's Tampa Bay area locations: 800 Second Ave. N.E. in St. Petersburg, 1241 Gulf Blvd. in Clearwater and at the restaurant's flagship Ybor City location, 2117 E. Seventh Ave.
The special started at noon. By 11:30 a.m., hundreds were lined up outside the Ybor City location.
