Tampa Man Threatens To Behead Girlfriend, Deputies Say

TAMPA - A Tampa man held an ax above his girlfriend's head this morning and threatened to decapitate her, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Salvatore Pugliese Jr., 53, instead slammed the ax on a workbench next to his girlfriend, an arrest affidavit shows.
Pugliese, of 211 Shore Parkway, faces one felony count of aggravated assault.
He was arrested about 2:19 a.m. and remains in Orient Road Jail with no bail set.
Pugliese previously has been convicted of domestic battery on the woman, the affidavit states.
