Vandalism To Mosque Is Labeled Hate Crime By Islamic Organization

TAMPA - The Tampa chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations is asking law enforcement officials to investigate vandalism at a St. Petersburg mosque as a hate crime.

Representatives of the St. Petersburg Islamic Center told CAIR-Tampa that bricks were thrown through mosque windows early Sunday morning, according to a news release issued by CAIR.

The mosque has received harassing calls, the CAIR news release stated.
