PLANT CITY - Human trafficking will be the focus of a program next week at Bruton Memorial Library, 302 McLendon St.
Representatives from the Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking will discuss the scope of the problem and how to identify its victims from 2 to 3 p.m. Sept. 27.
Reference librarian Gale Vaccaro saw the presentation at another forum and decided to bring it to Plant City.
"I thought this would be a prime area where this information should be presented," she said.
Human trafficking involves the entrapment of people from other countries into forced labor, including prostitution.
Vaccaro has notified local police, hospital and social service agencies of the information session. The public is invited.
