HUDSON - A Hudson man was arrested Thursday after Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputies found dozens of marijuana plants in his house in the Leisure Beach area.
Paul Michael Kostares, 21, of 12821 First Isle, was charged with cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Deputies said he had 109 marijuana plants spread among the bedrooms and bathroom of his small house.
Kostares also had 14 plastic bags containing various weights of marijuana - totaling 1 1/2 pounds - in a safe, deputies said.
Kostares also was charged with two counts each of possessing and trafficking in controlled substances after deputies found various amounts of oxycodone, hydrocodone, Soma, methadone and Xanax in one bedroom of his house.
Deputies said Kostares told them that he had gotten the prescription drugs through false pretenses and did not have prescriptions for any of them.
Kostares was being held at the Land O' Lakes jail Friday with bail set at $115,500.
