Mom Dead, Man Injured After Palm River Shooting

TAMPA - TAMPA - TAMPA - Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives are investigating a double shooting today in the Palm River area that left a mother of two dead.
Investigators think the woman's husband shot and killed her before turning the gun on himself, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Carter.
Investigators have not released the identities of the victims yet.
Deputies responded to a call of a shooting at 7017 Glen Cove Drive about 4 p.m. and found a deceased woman inside the home, Carter said.
The man inside the home was rushed to Tampa General Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
The woman's two children, ages 5 and 8, were inside the home at the time of the shooting, Carter said.
The children are being supervised by the Child Protection Division, Carter said.
