NEW PORT RICHEY - Mary Skidmore, 94, didn't like the color her boyfriend was painting her mobile home Tuesday morning.
In fact, it was the 'wrong paint,' according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.
So she yelled at Israel Podolsky. That's when the 81-year-old is accused of pushing her.
'But she held her ground and did not fall,' the report stated.
Neighbor Dorothy Brooks went over to the Skidmore/Podolsky residence in Grand Valley Mobile Home Park and reportedly saw Podolsky shove Skidmore. When Brooks, 58, stepped between the pair, Podolsky pushed her, too, the report said.
So Brooks called 911.
Theodore Cornell, who is also listed as a witness begged Podolsky to stop as he pushed and tried to choke Skidmore, the report said. But Podolsky didn't listen.
He later told deputies he pushed Skidmore because she pushed him. He pushed Brooks, he reportedly said, because she shouldn't have come over to the home in the first place.
No serious injuries were reported.
Podolsky was being held Wednesday at the Land O' Lakes Jail on charges of felony domestic battery and misdemeanor simple battery. Bail had not been set.
