PALM HARBOR - The body of 46-year-old Daniel Propes, the second of two anglers who went missing Sunday morning, was found at 3:50 p.m. by deputies in Lake Tarpon, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office reported.
Propes, of Holiday, had been missing since Sunday. His body was discovered 400 feet from where the unmanned 15-foot fishing boat was discovered.
Earlier today, deputies pulled the body of Dale A. Puricelli, 49, of Holiday, out of the lake about 9:30 a.m., authorities said.
The two anglers went missing Sunday morning. Their boat was found adrift in the Lake Tarpon outfall canal in Palm Harbor.
Puricelli and Propes launched the 15-foot boat shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
The boat was found adrift in the lake's southern end about 11:30 a.m., the sheriff's office reported.
The search was suspended about 8 p.m. Sunday because of darkness and resumed at 7:30 a.m. today.
The boat contained fishing equipment, cell phones, shoes, money and other personal property, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies found Puricelli's truck and boat trailer at the Anderson Park launching area in Tarpon Springs.
The men's families were notified of the search.
