Man Fatally Struck Crossing S.R. 574

TAMPA - A 50-year-old Dover man died after he was struck by a vehicle Friday night as he tried to cross State Road 574, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Victor L. Lund of 11520 Nelson Ave. died shortly after arriving at Tampa General Hospital.
According to highway patrol reports, Lund was walking north on S.R. 574 when he tried to cross the east and westbound lanes near the intersection of Lake Drive about 9:35 p.m..
He was struck by a westbound 1999 Hyundai driven by Nancie Lajeunesse, 23, of 2011 Sarah Louise Drive, Brandon, the highway patrol said.
