Coast Guard Searches For Missing Boat Captain

BAYPORT - The Coast Guard used helicopters Sunday in the search for a boat captain who had disappeared from a 46-foot pleasure craft in the Gulf of Mexico.
Lindsay Forde, 48, was reported missing Saturday about 75 miles west of Bayport by vessel owner Michael Swindle.
Swindle told the Coast Guard he had gone below deck and that when he returned, Forde, who was not wearing a life jacket, was gone.
Conditions in the search area were challenging, with 6- to 8-foot seas, 25 mph winds and scattered thunderstorms.
