I'm sure by now everybody has seen the beating of the Polk County teenage girl on TV or read about it in the newspaper. What is underlying this matter is the blatant disrespect and lack of consequences these and other young people have today in this society. It has to start with the parents and is shared with the school system right up to and including the liberal justice system.
When parents and schools are handicapped by the threat of civil action by their offspring and students for the use of corporal punishment and discipline that was the norm 50 years ago, these types of occurrences are becoming the norm.
I'm not suggesting open season on children and adolescents, but if we continue down this road of liberal consequences for blatant disregard of human life and well being, it's only going to get worse!
