An Apollo Beach man was arrested Monday on charges he ran a gambling house offering cash to winners of Internet poker, slots and keno, according to an arrest report.
Patrons exchanged cash for magnetic cards at Jon P. Monson's business at 3804 Sun City Center Blvd. and slid the cards through a reader to start a gaming session and place bets, Detective Heinz Bachmann wrote in a report. Winners were given cash payouts by the business.
Bachmann wrote that during the investigation he played the games between Feb. 17 and April 8 and received cash payouts.
Monson, 40, of Apollo Beach, was charged with a third-degree felony of keeping a gambling house and a first-degree misdemeanor of possession of gambling equipment. He was released from Orient Road Jail after posting $2,500 bail, jail records show.
