A fire at a Safety Harbor home this afternoon caused major damage, according to Safety Harbor Fire Rescue.
"It was pretty much a complete-loss structure fire," Philip Vozza, a Safety Harbor Fire Rescue shift commander, said tonight of the blaze at 5 Summit Lane.
The fire at the roughly 2,800-square-foot home was under control at 5:43 p.m., Vozza said.
"The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time," he said. "It looks like it appears to be accidental at this point - possibly electrical."
