ST. PETERSBURG - Barack Obama plans to make one or two other local stops today after his economic town hall campaign appearance in St. Petersburg this morning, but campaign officials as of late Thursday wouldn't say where.
Obama's next scheduled stop is another town hall gathering focusing on the economy in Titusville on Saturday morning. On Saturday afternoon, he'll speak to the National Urban League convention in Orlando.
This morning's gathering, at historically black Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, is Obama's first appearance in the Tampa Bay area since a rally in downtown Tampa on May 21.
Pinellas County Democratic party chairwoman Toni Molinaro said the available free tickets to the public were all given out by around 6 p.m. Thursday from Obama's St. Petersburg office.
"There was a line around the block when I got there at 3" for tickets to be given out starting at 5 p.m., she said.
According to local Democratic leaders, the campaign also was seeking undecided voters, identified by phone bank calls, to invite to this morning's events.
