A handyman who was electrocuted Friday while working on a water heater at Travel World RV Park was identified today as 55-year-old Thomas Joseph Maher.
Maher, of 12400 U.S. 19, No. 1122, Clearwater, was working at Lot 1120 when he was electrocuted while plugging the trailer back into the outside power box, according to a Pinellas Park police news release.
A neighbor saw Maher working on the water heater at 11 a.m. Friday; about three hours later, the neighbor saw the handyman's truck open and tools getting wet in the rain, the release states. He found the handyman slumped over the power box.
"All indications are this was an accidental death," the release states. "It is undetermined at this time if there were any faults, shorts or problems with the electrical cord or power box the man was handling at the time of the accident."
