NEW PORT RICHEY - About 90 minutes after he last was seen, a 6-year-old autistic boy was found safe at a neighbor's home, about five houses from his own, Assistant Chief Darryl Garman said.
Police were told the boy went missing from his home, 6008 Sixth Ave. near Madison Street in the Tanglewood Terrace subdivision, about 2:30 p.m.
Garman said police got the call about 2:45 p.m., at shift change, so day and night shift officers are involved in the search, as well as firefighters.
