ST. PETERSBURG - Three masked men robbed a restaurant as employees were cleaning up early Sunday – and one of the men sexually assaulted one of the employees, St. Petersburg police said today.
The suspects entered the Table Restaurant, 535 Central Ave., at roughly 3 a.m. through the back door, St. Petersburg police spokesman William Proffitt said. Each was masked and armed with a handgun, Proffitt said.
They took an undisclosed amount of cash, and one of the suspects sexually assaulted the employee, Proffitt said. The spokesman would not disclose the sex of the employee or the nature of the alleged assault.
The suspects have not been identified.
