GAINESVILLE - Is the party over at the University of Florida?
A week after being named the nation's top party school, the university released an edited version of its student conduct code on Monday. It includes a ban on drinking games, kegs and other activities on the Gainesville campus. Fraternity and sorority houses would also be affected.
But the party isn't over yet.
Vice president of student affairs Patricia Telles-Irvin says the changes are still in a public comment period and would need board of trustees approval.
Either way, the rules on campus partying have been under review by a committee of faculty, staff and students since 2006.
The new version will also provide new options for students accused of hazing, drug possession and other violations.
