Pinellas Bayway Reopened After Crash; 1 Injured

ST. PETE BEACH - The Pinellas Bayway is back open after a car crash closed both lanes for most of the night.
The crash happened on the bridge into St. Pete Beach about 1:40 a.m., when a car hit a guard rail and a light post, according to St. Pete Beach police.
The Bayway was shut down in both directions until about 7:40 a.m., police said.
The driver was seriously injured and taken to Bayfront Medical Center. Police have not released his name or condition.
