Classes

WORKSHOPS: The Garden Club of St. Petersburg will hold Coffee & Garden Crafts Workshops from 9:30 a.m. to noon Mondays through Aug. 18. Monday will be "Gardening Glove Treasure"; the workshop for Aug. 18 has yet to be decided. All workshops are open to the public. Please bring scissors, pencils and small paintbrushes. POND LANDSCAPING: Pondscapes, 4213 S. Manhattan Ave., Tampa, hosts a free pond-building class at 9 a.m. on the last Saturday monthly. For information, call (813) 839-8062.

NATIVE PLANTS: The Nature Coast Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 7922 S.R. 52, Hudson. Call (727) 848-2177.

ORCHIDS: The Florida West Coast Orchid Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Pinellas County Cooperative Extension (Botanical Gardens), 12175 125th St. N., Largo. Jim and Emily Clarkson will discuss How to Ready Your Orchid for the Show Bench. Call (727) 460-4606.
