Teen Charged After Dad Hit With Tiny Sword

DELTONA - A Volusia County teenager is accused of stabbing his father with a miniature sword Monday because his father wanted to give him a haircut.

The 15-year-old Deltona boy was charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm, a sheriff's office report said. His father was treated for the wound on his hand.

Deputies said the teen was afraid his father was going to hit him and threw a bag of seashells at him before stabbing him.
