L'Oreal Denies Lightening Beyonce's Skin In Ad

Cosmetics giant L'Oreal is denying it lightened Beyonce's skin tone in an ad.

"We highly value our relationship with Ms. Knowles. It is categorically untrue that L'Oreal Paris altered Ms. Knowles' features or skin tone in the campaign for Feria hair color," the Paris-based company said in a statement sent to the Associated Press.

The ad is in the September issues of Elle, Allure and Essence on stands now.

A representative for Beyonce said the singer would have no comment beyond L'Oreal's statement.

Usher Makes Up With His Mother

Usher's mother is back as his manager after a much publicized split.

The 29-year-old superstar announced Thursday that he has ended his partnership with celebrity manager Benny Medina, whose clients include Mariah Carey, and has rehired Jonnetta Patton.

Patton had managed her son's career since he was a teen star. But the multiplatinum performer broke with his mother in 2007, saying he just wanted her to focus on being his mom.

Lucas Says There's Only One Indy

George Lucas says he's already identified the one person who can keep the "Indiana Jones" franchise going: Harrison Ford.

The filmmaker scoffed at the possibility of passing the famed fedora from Ford to Shia LaBeouf, the 22-year-old actor who played Indy's son Mutt Williams in this summer's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

"He is Indiana Jones," Lucas said of Ford. "If Indiana Jones wasn't in it, you'd have to call it 'Mutt Williams and the search for Elvis.' ... "Yeah, it's 'Mutt Williams and the Search for Elvis.'"

Lucas said he definitely sees a future for Dr. Jones. A fifth movie is a possibility.

"The franchise really depends on me coming up with a good idea," Lucas said.

Dixie Chick Is A Single Gal Again

Dixie Chick Emily Robison and her husband, singer Charlie Robison, have divorced.

The San Antonio Express-News reported that Charlie Robison filed for divorce in January. The couple were at the Bexar County Courthouse on Wednesday when the divorce was finalized.

The divorce filing states their marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

"We can confirm that the divorce is final. They remain the best of friends and their family is obviously the priority," a spokesperson for the Dixie Chicks said.
