A 48-year-old woman was seriously injured when her car hit a house, a tree, cable box, concrete light pole, two water lines, a sign and a fence in Bradenton.
The 2006 Ford pick-up driven by Roxann Milizia also struck a car about 12:20 a.m. today. Milizia, 48, was seriously injured but the driver of the car she struck was not hurt, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Milizia was driving west on 46th Plaza E. when she left the road and drove into the back yard of 4701 35th Ct. E. where her truck hit the back end of a house causing $100,000 in damage, the highway patrol said.
While backing up, Milizia hit a tree, sped up and went into a spin back on the road. The truck crossed the road hitting a cable box and a raised water line, the highway patrol reported. Next, she hit a concrete light pole and another raised water line.
Milizia then tried to drive away but swerved from her lane and hit the front of a 2002 Honda driven by Kara Dawson, 27.
Milizia's truck then continued across an intersection and struck a sign, cleared a large ditch and hit a fence. She was taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
No charges have been filed, but the accident remains under investigation.
