Deputies investigate a body found in an orange grove.

Detectives are trying to identify the body of a woman found this morning in an orange grove in rural Manatee County.
A worker discovered the body about 8 a.m. in the grove near Rutland Road and State Road 64, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said. Detectives have ruled the case a homicide but have not released the cause of death, the sheriff's office said.
The victim is described as Hispanic, between 20 and 35 years old, between 4 feet 8 inches and 4 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium to heavy build. She was wearing a sleeveless white shirt with green stripes and a silver design on the front of the shirt and a pink skirt.
The victim had dark eyes and dark hair in a long, braided ponytail as well as a surgical scar on her abdomen.
