Pasco Woman Injured In Wreck On State Road 54

LAND O' LAKES - A Wesley Chapel woman was taken to a Tampa hospital with serious injuries after a two-car crash this morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lynn Deturo, 45, was driving east on State Road 54 in the outside lane of traffic when her Honda sport utility vehicle was struck from behind at Collier Parkway, a report states.
Michael Johnson, 22, of Tampa was driving his Chevrolet pickup behind Deturo and failed to notice traffic was slowing and stopping at the intersection and slammed into the SUV, according to the report.
Deturo was taken to University Community Hospital with neck and back injuries. Johnson, who wasn't hurt, was cited for careless driving, the report states.
The crash briefly shut down the outside lane of State Road 54.
