TAMPA - Police arrested two men Sunday they say crashed a pickup truck through a security fence and then stole 50 pallets from a business.
Brion D. Curry, 47, of 2008 E. 20th Ave, drove his green 2001 Chevrolet pickup through the fence of Cotts Beverages, 4506 E. Acline Drive, about 4:20 a.m., police say.
Curry and his passenger, Manuel Chapman, 60, of 2406 E. 29th Ave., then hopped out of the vehicle and loaded 50 pallets from the business into the back of the truck, police say.
An officer saw the truck driving east on East Seventh Avenue from North 50th Street and stopped Curry.
Curry and Chapman were arrested on charges of burglary and grand theft and taken to the Orient Road Jail. Curry is being held with no bail set. Chapman is being held on $9,500 bail.
