TAMPA - TAMPA - A glass bottle Brittany N. Parris threw through a home's window struck an 8-year-old's eye, Hillsborough County deputies say. Shattered glass cut the child's right shoulder and a 4-year-old's right knee.
Deputies arrested Parris, 19, of Tampa on Wednesday night after the incident at Candlewood Apartments at the corner of Mohr and Sheldon roads.
She was charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and one count of throwing a deadly missile inside an occupied dwelling.
Parris, of 6102 Webb Road, No. 901, remained in Orient Road Jail today. Her bail has not been set.
The incident began when Tristan Smiley, 28, got into an argument with her 30-year-old husband and slapped him across the face, deputies say.
Brittany Parris, who is Tristan Smiley's friend, came to the scene and threw the bottle through the window, according to a sheriff's office media release.
The children were treated at the scene.
Smiley was charged with misdemeanor battery and obstructing or opposing an officer without violence.
