Police: Tampa Man Had Sex With 14-Year-Old Girl

TAMPA - Police have arrested a 26-year-old Tampa man, accusing him of having sex with a 14-year-old girl, an affidavit states.
Shawn Javon Williams, of 9245 Overlook Drive, is charged with felony lewd and lascivious battery on a child younger than 16, records show.
Williams is being held on $9,660 bail at Orient Road Jail, records show. He also is charged with a warrant from Marion County for failing to appear in court on an unrelated matter.
According to an affidavit, the girl, now 15, told police that Williams had sex with her twice, once when she was 14. One encounter was at the Sunset Inn on Busch Boulevard in Tampa, the girl told police in the affidavit.
When police questioned Williams on Thursday, he confirmed the encounter at the Sunset Inn, the affidavit states.
