Edwards' Affair: McCain Is Less Honorable
"We" are upset about Sen. (John) Edwards' affair, which he ended over a year ago and obviously was forgiven for by his wife.
Yet we continue to admire another senator who had an affair, divorced his wife, and within five weeks married the much younger and richer young woman. He drives the straight talk express, and the world seems to think he is honorable and that we need him to lead us out of our misery.
I am 78 years old, and all I can say is: In my book Sen. Edwards at least kept his family together. McCain didn't, which makes him less honorable in my book.

Anti-Bunting Mailer Borders On Libelous
On Aug. 11, in the mail I found one very disturbing advertisement. It was a negative ad regarding Bill Bunting, who is running for the position of county GOP state committeeman.
The negative comments that were quoted were all out of context from the cited source. If one reads the article, it becomes obvious how insidious this attempt is to discredit a leader in our community to sway an election by portraying Bill as a criminal of sorts hiding a criminal past. By Bill's own admission, the incidents referenced happened before he had reached the age of 21, and he stated in that same article that he had learned his lesson back then and had changed his ways.
Personally, I think this ad borders on libel, and I think its author knows this as well. Unlike other mailers, which clearly have written on them "this ad is sponsored by," this one is conveniently anonymous.
I'm curious as to who in our community has postal bulk mail permit number 2483 and would mail this in such a cowardly and contentious manner.
