Lakeland Police Say Woman Was Raped Near Downtown

Lakeland police need help identifying a suspect in a sexual battery that occurred Friday near downtown Lakeland..
The man approached the victim as she was entering her home, forced her inside and raped her, Lakeland police say. She said he was about 5-foot-8 and 35 to 40 years old. He had short brown hair and light facial hair and was wearing jean shorts and a black T-shirt with a white T-shirt underneath.
