CORAL GABLES - With Tropical Storm Fay bearing down on South Florida, the University of Miami football team worked in a two-hour morning practice in the rain at the Greentree Practice Fields.
Miami worked through its normal practice routine spending time on 7-on-7 drills, some special team work and a few plays in the red zone before wrapping up with a quick 11-on-11 team session. The Hurricanes are scheduled to hold their final scrimmage of camp tonight.
After practicing through a few early showers Sunday afternoon, the team reported Monday morning shortly after conditions began to deteriorate in the Coral Gables area. Rain, falling harder at times, fell throughout practice with temperatures in the mid 70s and wind gusts up to 15 mph from the east.
