Sarasota: Officials Start Scaling Back

A trio of Sarasota County Government workers pulled the protective plywood, used during storms, off the County Administration Building on Ringling Boulevard.
At about the same time, County Emergency Management Chief, Ed McCrane, met with the heads of area fire and police agencies to update them on Fay and discuss scaling back. McCrane reports folks started leaving shelters at daybreak.
