Police Find Man Shot To Death Behind St. Pete Liquor Store

ST. PETERSBURG - A 44-year-old man was found shot to death behind a liquor store this morning, St. Petersburg police said.

Willie Calhoun was found behind Ike's Liquors, 1201 Dr. Martin Luther King St. S., just before 5 a.m., St. Petersburg police spokesman Bill Proffitt said in a prepared statement.

Calhoun was seen arguing with one or possibly two people about 4 a.m., and witnesses heard gunfire shortly after the argument, Proffitt said.
