TAMPA - A feud between families left one person beaten and three others stunned with Tasers Wednesday night after a group of seven to 10 people broke into a Crenshaw Street residence, Tampa police said.

The break-in at 2108 Crenshaw St. happened at 9:37 p.m., according to police reports.

According to the report:

One person was held down and beaten so badly that there was a one-inch cut over the victim's eye. Three other victims had Tasers placed against their bodies and fired in the drive stun mode.

Michelle Matthews, who was at the house during the attack, said the injured are minors.

"I don't know the people. They busted in the house," she said. "There was a little fight and the police came. I think there were more than 10 people in all. It is a feud between families."

Matthews said she was not injured.

Police said the attack was retaliation in an ongoing dispute. "We are still investigating the reason for the feud," said police spokesman Andrea Davis.

One suspect, Reynard Leon Burnett, 24, of 2109 E. Flora St., fled in a 1996 Cadillac. Police later spotted the Cadillac near Sligh Avenue and 15th Street. Police followed the car and converged on it near Sligh and Nebraska avenues.

After the stop, one of the break-in victims identified Burnett, who was then arrested. When his car was searched, police found more than 20 carisoprodol pills, a razor blade with cocaine on it and 17 grams of an unknown white powder in trunk.

A second suspect, David Lee Wright, 29, also of 2109 E. Flora St, was later arrested at his home.

Police are searching for others, Davis said.

"We are looking for at least eight suspects," she said. "We arrested Burnett and Wright because we had the probable cause to arrest them. The detective is still beating the bushes to get the evidence he needs to arrest the others who were involved. This is very much an ongoing investigation, and we anticipate more arrests."

Burnett, listed in jail records as a salesman for Time Share Inc., was charged with the felonies armed burglary of a dwelling, kidnapping, burglary of a dwelling with assault or battery, possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance, and the misdemeanors possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

Wright, who goes by the nickname "Casanova," is listed in jail records as a salesman for Kane's Furniture. He is charged with the felonies armed burglary of a dwelling, kidnapping and burglary of a dwelling with assault or battery and a probation violation for driving with a suspended license.

Both men are being held at the Orient Road Jail. No bail has been set.

Police provided no information on the other attackers.
