GOSSIP GIRL: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON
Josh Schwarz of "The O.C." fame turns his attentions to the attractive, privileged youth of the East Coast in this CW series, an adaptation of the popular novels that immediately launched the careers of young stars Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley. Parents were scandalized by the heady brew of sex, drugs and money.

HANNAH MONTANA/MILEY CYRUS: BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
As if the discount megastore furniture and T-shirt tie-ins weren't raking in enough cash for the Disney empire, the studio saw fit to release this 3-D concert film, in which teen phenomenon Miley Cyrus - and her blond alter ego, Hannah Montana - perform in a vast arena full of squealing female children.

CAMP ROCK: EXTENDED ROCK STAR EDITION
Following in the footsteps of "High School Musical" is this Disney Channel original movie about a summer camp for teenagers that specializes in turgid adolescent drama - or, as it's sometimes called, rock 'n' roll - starring tween musical sensations the Jonas Brothers. DVD features include an extended ending and a "How to Be a Rock Star" featurette.

MISS PETTIGREW LIVES FOR A DAY
Amy Adams ("Enchanted") plays a dizzy young cabaret singer in pre-World War II London whose chaotic love life (her suitors include the sugar daddy, the theatrical impresario and the poor artist) prompts her to hire the eponymous down-on-her-luck governess (Frances McDormand), who over the course of a day will do far more than juggle amorous appointments.

RECOUNT
For those ready to revisit this particular chapter in American electoral history, this made-for-cable dramedy of errors looks at the weeks following the 2000 presidential election, with an emphasis on the recount in Florida. The cast includes Kevin Spacey, Tom Wilkinson and Laura Dern, who assumes the heavily made-up mantle of our own Katherine Harris.
Unrated, 116 minutes
PROM NIGHT
A slightly less divisive local celebrity is Brittany Snow, who stars in this very loose remake of the 1980 Jamie Lee Curtis vehicle. The primary innovation seems to have been keeping enough gore off screen to garner a PG-13 rating, though rest assured, younger teens - the body count will still be high as Snow and her friends are menaced by a psycho ex-teacher.
PG-13, 88 minutes
