PANAMA CITY - Bay County sheriff's deputies used a Taser to subdue an escaped emu named Plop-Plop.
The large female bird was holed up Monday with some horses and goats in a pen. When deputies arrived, the emu "went kind of crazy," Deputy Randolph Grob said.
To keep the bird from hurting itself or them, they used the Taser to immobilize Plop-Plop. She was taken to the Bay County Animal Control Center to recover and wait for her owner to pick her up.
