PORT RICHEY - Have leftover medicine and don't know what to do with it? Well, don't leave it lying around. And certainly don't flush it.
Instead, drop off pills, liquids and needles between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday in front of the Gulf View Square mall.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office and its Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association will set up a "pill drop" collection site in the parking lot closest to the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 across from Embassy Boulevard.
Just drive up and drop off unwanted medication; some medical supplies also will be accepted. No questions will be asked.
The sheriff's office will take care of properly disposing whatever is dropped off.
