Tampa Police: Man Sexually Assaulted 5-Year-Old Boy

TAMPA - An 18-year-old Tampa man sexually assaulted a 5-year-old boy, police say.

Officers arrested Angel Miguel Skerritt of 6720 S. Lois Ave., Apt. 6106, this afternoon. He was charged with capital sexual battery on a child younger than 11.

Doctors diagnosed injuries to the boy as being of a sexual nature, said Tampa Police Department spokeswoman Andrea Davis.

Skerritt is not related to the boy, police say.

He was taken to Orient Road Jail. Bail had not been set.
