A husband and wife were found dead this morning in what sheriff's detectives suspect was a murder-suicide.
Polk County sheriff's detectives are investigating the shooting deaths of Larry C. Rimmer, 40, and his 37-year-old wife, Heather L., in their home at 5802 Highridge Loop.
Deputies went to the home about 7:50 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about shots being fired there, sheriff's spokesman Scott Wilder said.
Detectives said Rimmer apparently shot and killed his wife, then shot himself. Both were dead when authorities arrived.
Larry Rimmer operated a landscaping business and Heather Rimmer was a teacher at South McKeel Elementary Academy, the sheriff's office said.
