Published: August 25, 2008

Slim Pickings

•When quarterback Matt Grothe didn't throw an interception, the Bulls were 9-0 the past two seasons.

Student Support

•USF has the largest student section in the Big East (12,501), which accounts for 19 percent of Raymond James Stadium's 65,857 capacity. The largest percentage of students at Big East stadiums is West Virginia (21 percent of 60,000), followed by Rutgers (20 percent of 42,500), USF and Cincinnati (17 percent of 35,000).

Welcome Back An Original Bull

•First-year DE coach Kevin Patrick returns to USF after a 10-year absence. He was on USF's inaugural staff and led the Bulls onto the field for their inaugural game against Kentucky Wesleyan in 1997, but was nearly blinded when a sparkler shot in his eye.

Costly Experience

•Because USF is Florida International's first opponent in the Golden Panthers' new on-campus stadium, it will cost Bulls fans a record $51 per ticket. The previous high for a USF single-game ticket was last year's visit to Auburn ($48).

Turn Up The Heat

•The hotter the better: The Bulls are 26-3 in home games when the temperature at kickoff is 80 degrees or warmer.
