Sarasota Deputies Seek Info On Slain Man In Car

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to a person who killed a Sarasota man in his car.

Deputies found 27-year-old Leandro M. Henriquez shot to death just before midnight Sunday at 5600 Fruitville Road.

Deputies discovered the body while responding to caller who said a person appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle.

Detectives have not released any motive for the homicide.

Henriquez was recently released from the Sarasota County jail on a $40,000 bail. He had been charged with selling cocaine and heroin.
