Elderly Tarpon Springs Woman Found Safe

Tarpon Springs police officers have found an 86-year-old woman who wandered away from her home on Wednesday afternoon.
Theresa Josephine Schott, of 719 Waterview Lane, Tarpon Springs, was found with no apparent injuries about 10 p.m., police Lt. Barb Templeton said in a news release.
Schott had walked about a half mile from her home and was found lying on the ground concealed by landscaping, Templeton said. Schott is being treated by Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue, but she appears alert, police said.
Schott, who has dementia, wandered from her house on foot about 3:45 p.m. police said.
