Oakfield Drive In Brandon Reopened After Gas Leak

BRANDON - Authorities have reopened Oakfield Drive after closing it for more than two hours to repair a gas leak.

Construction crews ruptured a gas line in front of the Studio 618 hair salon about 2 p.m., the authorities said.

Hillsborough County fire and sheriff's units responded to the leak and closed Oakfield between Kings and Parsons avenues.

Authorities said there were no injuries and no need for evacuations.

Emergency responders cleared the scene at about 4:30 p.m.
