SARASOTA - Detectives say a 30-year-old man molested a young girl and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

Eddie G. Winn, of Middleburg, molested the girl when she was 11, authorities reported in arrest documents.

Winn touched the girl at Christmas time, when she dressed up as an elf during a family event, according to arrest reports.

Charged with lewd and lascivious battery, Winn was booked this week at the Sarasota County Jail.
