VALRICO -- The signs on the opposite side of the stadium poked fun at the Bloomingdale Bulls, but the perennial doormat showed the sign makers and everyone else, 2008 may be a different kind of year.

With a new coach, new style of play and a new attitude, Bloomingdale dominated Riverview 15-6 in a game that wasn't as close as the score indicates.

Bloomingdale came out on its first drive, ran off 11 plays and marched 66 yards to a touchdown on quarterback Anthony Beko's 10-yard run.

Riverview ran three plays and punted. Bloomingdale ran off six more plays, marching 65 yards and scored its second touchdown when Anthony Amos took a handoff and ran it in from the 3.

Amos carried the ball 26 times, taking large chunks of time off the clock.

Riverview quarterback Alex O'Regan started the game but left early. He returned in the second half in an attempt to rally his team and ran in a 19-yard touchdown. However, O'Regan would go down to injury in the fourth, and by then Bloomingdale's defense stiffened.
