Cambridge Wins, Ties In Jamboree

At Winter Haven All Saints', Cambridge Christian quarterback Etienne Turner threw for one touchdown and ran for another as the Lancers defeated CDS Prep 21-6 in one half of a Kickoff Jamboree.
The Lancers played host All Saints' to a 0-0 tie in their other half in the jamboree format, which had three teams total, with each team playing two 10-minute quarters against each opponent. Host All Saints' beat CDS Prep 12-0.
In the Lancers' win over CDS Prep, Turner's scoring pass went for 35 yards to Dixon Phillips, who made a nice one-handed grab to haul it in, according to Coach John Kelly. Turner's touchdown run went for 40 yards. The Lancers' third score was an 80-yard kickoff return by Ryan Campbell. The Patriots' lone touchdown was scored on a fumble return by Darius Bing.
