Spoto Holds On For Win

TAMPA -- Spoto edged Leto 18-16 at Mahin-Hoffman Stadium in a Kickoff Classic.

Leto scored a safety for a 2-0 lead. After three penalties, a Leto fumble was recovered by Orey Gaines of Spoto.

By the end of the half, Adolfo Navarro for the Falcons had two interceptions. For Spoto, Alex Byers had six carries for 32 yards.

Leto failed to score until its comeback in the fourth quarter. After a Spoto fumble, Antwoun Howard recovered. Brandon Toombs had three straight runs, capped by a short touchdown. Jeremy Deering added a 2-point conversion.

After the Falcons got the ball back, Fred Timmons ran for 57 yards, setting up Navarro for a short touchdown run and 2-point conversion to get Leto within two.
